The World Energy Cities Partnership Annual General Meeting
During the 2021 Annual General Meeting, our member cities selected Esbjerg, Denmark to host the 2022 World Energy Cities Partnership AGM. The event will take place from the 5th-8th October 2022, and the central theme will be the energy transition based on public and private partnerships.
Since 2013, the City of Esbjerg has played an active role in the World Energy Cities Partnership and Mayor Jesper Frost Rasmussen is currently serving as the newly elected President of the WECP.
“We have benefitted from being a member of WECP, and to show our gratitude we hope to host the best possible AGM in Esbjerg. Our city remains the capital of Denmark’s offshore industry, and the energy transition is fully visible here. The members of WECP will experience Esbjerg, as we stand on the brink of an important journey, where Esbjerg plays an important role in the Danish transition from black to green energy”, says Mayor Jesper Frost Rasmussen
